A NEST UNDER THE RADIATOR

The Chief of a Fire Department noticed an unfair delay in the service of the tank truck, so he called the attention to the driver. The origin of this delay was so trivial: things happened because of the whim of some birds, which made their nest under the radiator.

The baby birds were hidden there, and they were unable to fly. The heavy mass of this track was working very slowly and gently, with maternal devotion, due to the hidden birds. So the truck became out of service, until those small guests were able to fly and to abandon spontaneously the radiator.

God always walks carefully because he carries the baby birds in his hands, so “he will cover you with his feathers, / and under his wings you will find refuge” (Psalm 91:4). God walks “very slowly and gently, with maternal devotion”, so that nothing will happen to you on the way, so that you will abandon the refuge by flying with freedom. Therefore, you are free because you called upon his protection, for you know him and he responds attentive as he were a mother: “Because he loves me”, say the LORD, I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name”; he will call upon me, and I will answer him” (Psalm 91: 14-15).
